Welcome to Kallams! We're a small breeding program in NE Oklahoma specializing in Bernese Mountain Dogs, Poodles, Bernedoodles (mini-standard), and West Highland White Terriers.

My Journey as a Stay-at-Home Mom and Canine Enthusiast!

Being a stay-at-home mom is the most rewarding experience, filled with love and the joy of nurturing your babies. But my journey extends beyond just caring for my human family; it also includes a deep passion for whelping, raising, and training dogs to become cherished lifelong companions!

I have always had a passion for saving animals. When I was a kid I used to tell people I wanted to be on the show "Animal Cops Huston" because I wanted to save all the animals! In my younger adult years my husband and I fostered dogs and kittens through a local rescue and would even go pull some out of shelters on our own dime. 

Our love for West Highland White Terriers grew when we got our first ever fost fail in 2019 named "Jack", hes a chihuahua/westie mix, and was living in a bathtub in Oklahoma City. When we got him he was covered in fleas but full of spunk and life! He has been with us through every pregnancy, our wedding, every sleepless night and midnight diaper change. We joke all the time about how Jack isn't just a dog, he's my son, since God blessed us with 3 girls!

On a trip to Colorado in 2020 we met a Bernese Mountain Dog named "Buddy". We absolutely fell inlove with him and knew that was the perfect puppy to add to our household. Then came Aspen, our Bernese! Aspen is loving, fun, goofy, lazy, and the welcoming committee all in one Bernese body! Aspen changed my mind about breeders, about breeding, about the whole thing! I dedicated 2 years to learning about ethical breeding, took courses, made friends, found mentors...

Knowing what we did about fostering, ethical breeding, how important it is to create life with a PURPOSE, we knew this was our journey. Now we breed West Highland White Terriers, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Poodles, and Bernedoodles! ALL structurally sound, genetically sound, and with their own purpose. 

Creating Forever Best Friends

The ultimate goal is to match these puppies with families who will love and cherish them as I have. Each dog is unique, and finding the perfect home involves understanding the puppy's personality and the lifestyle of potential adopters. It’s a process that ensures both humans and dogs find their perfect match!

Our puppies are raised in our living room, around our toddlers, tv noise, vacuum sounds, other pets, new people, new smells, all the things you want your puppy to understand and tackle with confidence. They're also raised next to a back door with a potty door bell to help transition to their outside potty area at 6 weeks! 

We do our best to set our puppies and our families up for success and an easy transition! Being able to contribute to the happiness of families and their new puppy is a privilege, and I'm grateful for every wagging tail and joyful bark that comes my way.

We are located in North Eastern Oklahoma about 30 minutes from Tulsa, Oklahoma and two hours from Oklahoma City!
